The American Society for Quality (ASQ), headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, is the world’s leading authority on quality since 1946.

British Standards Institution
BSI is the national standards body for the UK.


The Chartered Quality Institute is the chartered body for quality management professionals. Established in 1919 as the Institute of Engineering Inspection and later as IQA, gained a Royal Charter in 2006 and became the CQI shortly afterwards.

The Institute of Food Science & Technology is the independent incorporated professional qualifying body for food scientists and technologists.

International Register for Certificated Auditors
IRCA is the worlds leading certification body for auditors of QMS, EMS, OH&S, FSMS systems, and for the approval of auditor training courses.

International Organization for Standardization
ISO co-ordinate the writing and publishing of standards world-wide. This site includes lots of useful information about ISO 9000:2000, and on all aspects of standards.

United Kingdom Accreditation Service
The national accreditation body for the UK, UKAS' site includes a list of accredited certification bodies (in pdf format). Also available at is a searchable directory of calibration laboratories

The Asia Pacific Quality Organization (APQO) is an autonomous, non-political, non-profit, scientific and technical organization domiciled in an Asia Pacific region. Asia Pacific includes countries in Asia and those located near the Pacific rim.
